ASB September Student of the Month
Our theme for September’s ASB Student of the Month was “Go Getter”. This represents a student who strives to get out there and start the year strong. Our choice for this month is Olivia Chittick. She has been a force to be reckoned with this year. Olivia is very active around the school as she is our Spirit and Communication Coordinator in ASB, is a fabulous member of our Cheer team, involved in clubs, and has done a lot to help out with several school events. She is also very strong academically, and always is an engaged and motivated student. Last but not least, she starts out our afternoons every day with the school announcements. Olivia truly represents the “Go Getter” spirit and helps to make this school a better place.

The elementary school had a blast kicking off their learning today with their first ever costume parade! Have a fun and safe weekend!

Students in Introduction to Culinary Arts have been honing their skills in knife work this week. This includes safe handling, precision cuts, and the importance of consistency in the kitchen. Building confident learners one slice at a time!
Each month in the elementary school we will have a PAX drawing for students who have been recognized for being safe, responsible, or kind! The students will get a special treat and eat lunch in Mr. Fowler’s room. Check out the awesome group from our first one today!

Congratulations to Olivia Chittick for earning the College Board National Recognition Program First-Generation Award! This national recognition honors outstanding academic achievement, including strong performance on the PSAT. We are proud of your hard work and this well-deserved accomplishment. As we wrap up the end of the 3rd week of school, we received a special visit from Ms. Goheen! Bringing in a mystery reader is a great way to bring excitement and fun into learning! The Darrington High School Woodshop students have spent the past several years bringing their tiny house project to life—building it from the trailer up with the expert guidance of Mr. Franke.
This project wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our students and the incredible support from staff, community members, and donors. Thank you for helping make this vision a reality—we are so proud of what’s been accomplished!
