2021-2022 Board Goals

  1. Work collaboratively and support new district Superintendent to assure a successful transition and continued stability in District Leadership and policies.

  2. Commit fully to board member role by preparing for, attending, and engaging in board meetings.

  3. Increase the use of data in making and implementing priority policies, program and instructional decisions.


2020-2021 Board Goals


  1. Prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and our staff and also take proactive measures to ensure appropriate training for emergency (COVID-19) situations.

  2. Focus on how best to: (a) provide for the continuation of educational services to students outside of normal school operations and when appropriate (b) prepare for the safe return to normal instruction for our students and staff

  3. Determine the configuration of administration structure for the 2021-22 school year.


2019-2020 Board Goals


 1.   Throughout the year require the effective use of data and the review of the methods used to monitor student achievement and district performance.

2.   Oversight of implementation of a strategic plan.  The Board anticipates a new strategic plan during the school year.  (continued from 2018-19)

3.   Actively build a strong and effective working relationship between the board and the superintendent in a manner that promotes building trust between the community and the school district.  (continued from 2018-19)

4.   Study and utilize the results of the WSSDA Board Self-Assessment to focus on where the directors need to improve and where the directors need more information to understand the district’s processes to strengthen our performance in governing for improved student learning.


2018-2019 Board Goals

 

1.        Develop and complete strategic plan by end of 2018-2019 school year.

2.       Continue to make budget and financial decisions that result in maintaining the 7% fund balance as defined in policy 6022.

3.       Actively build a strong and effective working relationship between the board and the superintendent in a manner that promotes building trust between the community and the school district.

4.       Begin implementation of policy 1340 Targeted Student Success to align our board work and the district’s work toward the key function of student success defined in the policy.  This will be used to set agenda items throughout the school year.
