Darrington School District is seeking applications from citizens interested in being appointed to a committee to write the pro/con statements for the Snohomish and Skagit Counties Local Voters’ Pamphlets related to the District’s upcoming supplemental educational programs and operation levy ballot measure to be considered at the August 4, 2020 election.  Those interested should send their name, address, phone number and which position they represent to McKenzie Boyd, Business Manager, Darrington School District, 1075 Fir St, Darrington, WA 98241 or via email at mboyd@dsd.k12.wa.us by April 27, 2020.  The Board will take action on the appointments at its April 28, 2020 regular board meeting.

The Darrington School District continues to explore ways to best serve our community and to keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.  To improve our social distancing efforts and to be as efficient as possible, we are changing our lunch pick-up schedule:

Starting Monday, April 27, in-town lunch pick-up will take place from 11:45-12:15 at Old School Park by the picnic area.  Bus route drop-offs will continue as scheduled.

I appreciate the patience of our community and our staff as we continue to find ways to improve our service to our students and the Darrington community.

Stay well,

Dr. Buck Marsh, Superintendent

The COVID-19 school closure put a halt to spring sports and many end of year traditions. Darrington School District wants our students to know that we are still thinking of them and that they are not forgotten. We will turn on our stadium lights this Friday at 8:20 PM to honor the Class of 2020, our spring athletes, and all of our Darrington students. Per state regulations, the field and school grounds are closed to the public. Please do not park, loiter, or put yourself or others at risk during this event.

Meals on Wheels, Lunch Service Update

We set a new high on Thursday with 252 lunches served.  Each day students receive a lunch as well as a breakfast for the following day.  These Grab-and-Go meals are served at the school for those who live in town, and distributed along our bus routes.  Since the program began, we have served 2911 units for a total of over 5800 meals!  Thank you students, parents, and staff for your hard work in fighting food insecurity during Stay Home, Stay Healthy!
