School Board Meeting

In accordance with Gov. Inslee’s Stay Home, Stay Healthy proclamation, along with guidance from the Washington State Attorney General, Darrington School Board will hold a budget work study session via Zoom on Tuesday, July 28, at 6:30 PM . The public may join the public portion of this meeting by calling (253) 215-8782 and entering the Meeting ID 983 3838 3417.

We will be allowing written public comments to come in via email any time prior to the public comment section of the meeting. If you have public comment, please email mboyd@dsd.k12.wa.us and your comment will be read during the public comment section of the board meeting.

WIAA Announces Modified Sports Seasons for 2020-21

Recently the WIAA announced modified sport seasons and released a calendar for the 2020-21 school year. Dates are dependent upon health conditions and subject to change, featuring four sports seasons:

WIAA Season 1: Cross Country, Slowpitch Softball, Girls Swim & Dive*, Golf (Alternative Season), Tennis (Alternative Season)

WIAA Season 2: Basketball, Bowling, Boys Swim & Dive, Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Wrestling

WIAA Season 3: Volleyball, Girls Soccer, 1B/2B Boys Soccer, Football

WIAA Season 4: Tennis, Fastpitch Softball, Track & Field, Baseball, Golf, Boys Soccer, Dance/Drill

On August 4th, Darrington School District voters will be asked to consider a ballot measure for a two-year Supplemental Educational Programs and Operation Levy. This levy will run concurrently with the existing voter-approved levy that expires in 2022.

Pandemic EBT for Washington Families

A new Pandemic EBT program is available in early July for children that are eligible for free and reduced lunch. Free/reduced lunch applications are available at the following link: https://www.darringtonschools.org/free-and-reduced-meals-application

Applications can be turned in to Haley Ozmun at Darrington Elementary School daily from 9:00-11:30 until June 30, 2020. Please call 360-436-1313 for more information.
