Bus Schedule
Hello Bus Riding Families –
Below are the times that the busses will leave the bus barn each morning:
Highway 530 7:15 a.m
Swede Heaven 7:20 a.m.
Sauk Prairie 7:30 a.m.
Bennetville 7:30 a.m.
Whitehorse/Clear Creek 7:15 a.m
The Skills Center Bus will leave the school at 6:35 a.m.
You can estimate the time they will be at your driveway based on how long it takes you to drive from town to your driveway. We have split out the morning Bennetville and Sauk Prairie Routes in the morning, so the Sauk Prairie Route will probably be the most different from last year. All other routes will be approximately 15 minute later pick up time than last year since the school doors open at 8:00am.
Please have students out and ready for the bus 5 minutes before their expected pick up time to ensure they do not get passed by.
Back to School BBQ
Last Fall 4th and 5th grade students participated in a new biking program called “Let’s Go” in which they learned bicycling skills and safety. Darrington Elementary was one of a handful of rural schools to pilot this new curriculum and the students’ experiences helped inform institution for future participants around the state. Let’s Go was funded by the Move Ahead Washington transportation bill in March 2022. Implementation of Let’s Go came in under budget and facilitators wanted to put the funds toward getting youth on bicycles. So, all 5th graders who participated in the piloting of the curriculum earned a free bike with helmet, lock, and lights. 5th graders at Darrington Elementary received their new bikes on May 1st and many have been riding to school since! Many thanks to the NWESD, Cascade Bicycle Club, and Trek Bikes for making this happen.
Softball District Game at Home on May 15 against Quilcene Starts at 4pm

Congratulations Darrington students Allie Cochran and Ava Pater that were awarded Outstanding Student Awards by The Arlington Rotary Clue.
